Lavoisier, The Father of Modern Chemistry

Antoine Lavoisier was born in was born in Paris on August 26, 1743. He was one of the greatest scientists in chemistry. He also learned more sciences and have wonderful works in each of them, even his major is still in chemistry. He was the pioneer in stoichiometry and the one who enlightening people from a mistake called phlogiston. Unfortunately, he was convicted as guilty by Revolutionist and was guillotined. We will not know about oxygen if Lavoisier never research about combustion. We maybe will still following phlogiston theory to explain why the mass of the burned wood is different with its mass before burned. To celebrating this year as "The Year of Chemistry", let's see more about his greatest contributions in chemistry world.
