How Alcoholic Beverages Can Kill You

Vodka, Tequila, or even a Cocktail can be very deadly for our body. Well, of course if you drink them in average amount it would be no problem. But what happen if someone drink too much? Or maybe he or she is an alcoholic, what will be happen to them? Long-term effect of alcoholic beverages intake to our body is very fatal for health. This article will show you what an alcoholic beverage can do to your body that can risk your life.

The alcohol class in alcoholic beverages is known as ethanol. In our body, ethanol breaks down into acetaldehyde as the first metabolic product, which is a carcinogen. In normal condition, our body will change this toxic into acetic acid, which is not a toxic to our body. But when the ethanol intake is increase from the normal condition, our body can't keep up with it. So the number of acetaldehyde that come into our system because the ethanol breakdown is more than the number of it that turns down into acetic acid. The result is a stockpile of acetaldehyde toxic in our liver that can cause a cancer.

Another effect of acetaldehyde as a product of alcohol metabolism to our body are heart failure, pancreatitis, cirrhosis (alcohol blocking the normal metabolism in liver that ends in the death of the liver itself), anemia, and a lot more. You can find the information of it in Google.

It's okay to drink in an average amount. But if it continuously and chronic, the body can't handle it and it will kill it from inside. Unless you don't care your own body and everyone that cares about you, don't drink too much.
